GRETTA!

Hey All, So I haven't really said anything for a month. I just got back from band camp with some pretty sweet kids.

Our show is fun, Jeremiah was amazing , the pool was great, great leadership group, max of 6 hrs of sleep a night, 8hr field rehersals, spray bottles, tattoos, water breaks, Mr. Z, drill downs, GRETTA!!, almost decent meals, moving from a 7C to a 5C , neck sausages, bathroom breaks, trailers, "loosing" my sunglasses, Wacky Wednesday, Decades Day, and Twin day, sunburns, 8th graders, Talent Show, ahhh, there is soo  much more.

It was such a great week. I really like the people we were with, and the group is awesome for the most part. It was just a lot of fun. I'm just super tired.

Outta here y'all!

I want to go back to the "Deep Dark Hills of Eastern Kentucky"

Hey Guys- I'm back from Harlan and am actually in Pittsburgh at the moment.

I have to say that Harlan, KY was the greatest experience of my life. The sceneary was beautiful, my work crew was amazing, down time was soo fun, prayer was so peaceful: All in all it was more than I could have imagained.

I feel more confindent in myself and now know 40 some people better than ever. I loved my work crew with everything from "Janky" (Laura), "On a scale of 1 to 10", Euchre Games,  Scaffolding, Roofing, decking, Johnny Joesph, Jasper-BAM BAM, Music, basketball, bon fires, prayer, the movies, shaving in the lake, getting lost the way to the lake, finding every possible way to make a play ground dirty, Dairy Queen, a trip to Harlan hospital, and best of all getting away from it all with the greatest people in the world.

For those of you who were wondering: I went to the Hospital again Saturday morning (seeing as it's technically Sunday), I got re-x-rayed, and a new splint. According to my dad, since the nurse didn't actually come out and say it, I sprained the ligaments in my thumb, and I have to wear my splint through next week until I see my doctor. Same as before, nothing has changed, I still am trying to be self sufficent, but can't due to the lack of hand.

I want to go back to Harlan so bad. I liked being away from it all, but possibly the reason I want to most go back is because I didn't know a devistating fact: My Dog Casey died while I was gone. He ate something like a towel that blocked his stomach off, he went to the vet on Tuesday monring to get his stomach pumped and whatever, and he died Tuesday at 4......I can't say anymore than that, I miss him sooo much, and everytime I see my cousin's dog, I break down.. .I miss him sooo much.....I love you Casey 6/13/06

Since I can't see the screen anymore, I think it's time for bed. I want to go back to the deep dark hills of eastern Kentucky more than anything in the world right now......

Harlan, KY

Hey All- I'm taking a minute from packing for the one place that I have been waiting almost 2 years to go to, since I first heard the stories the summber before freshman year: HARLAN!

I can't even put into words how excited I am to go to a place that I've never been to, that is in Kentucky--so that means that access to phones, computers, and technology in general is pretty much not possible---, with some of the greatest friends in the world, to do many hours of hard work for people. I am soo excited, I can't wait to come home with stories of my own to tell people.

I also can't wait to get out of this house. My sister and family are driving me insane, so I totally cannot wait at all....

About 12 hrs folks....then I'm outta here!

Round One

Hey Guys- Well round 1 is done. With exams and band anyway.

Senior Awards ceremony today was eh, as good as it could possibly be.

1) I wasn't in the bleachers were it was 110 degrees, I was sitting near and open door and could feel the breeze.
2)I wasn't in the bleachers and had a back to my chair
3) I had a stand to hide my study guide on, plus a teacher that didn't care

Let's see.....I could actually be passing Peter's now. I got a 63/80 on my test. That was fabulous! It totally made my day! Now all I need is like a C on the final.

Bio exam went well. Had nearly 45 minutes after to mess around and play with iPods and whatever that was fun. Plus I got like a 105ish/120 (there could be a curve or for all I know she didn't see I missed other stuff) so I'm pretty pleesed with that. I can't complain.

Long weekend with a few graduation parties, up early tomorrow, up early Sunday, and monday I can finally sleep in. It'll all be good though.

All in all life's pretty sweet...let's see if I'm saying the same thing on Tuesday night....
haha, talk to y'alls later!
